This was a fun mural to design. It was in the basement of a beautiful new house that was located in the woods. The owners wanted to turn this room into a kid's playroom and were unhappy with the stark white walls. They wanted to give the room personality, but also keep it interactive and ageless.

Opposite the room, was a large window looking out to the back of their wooded property. It looked like an idyllic scene, so we suggested to "bring it in"! We envisioned the entire wall in the woods with a large tree, forest creatures and birds on the ceiling.

We live just outside of Valley Forge Park and painted the wall to resemble the landscape there. A prominent animal here are deer and we knew that our clients had many in their backyard. We also added a squirrel and thought a racoon would be a cute addition to the mural .
